Currently, all products under CRO have COO (Country of Origin) on the physical marking of the products as this requirement is mandatory to provide during lab testing to meet BIS requirements. BIS labs are insisting on COO marking on the physical product while there is no clear mandate from BIS.
A draft representation has been prepared in coordination with MAT in order to allow applicant to include COO as part of E-label for the products having integrated display. The suggested solution may help to avoid market entry-related delays.
