New Directive to amend the European RED which includes requirements on charging interfaces

The Directive harmonizes the charging interface for mobile phones/radio equipment where
charging is through wired mode to incorporate same charging communication protocol.

With this in place it is not necessary that the endusers have to purchase a new charging device on every purchase of a new mobile phone/ radio equipment.
