The National Centre for Communication Security (NCCS) has officially extended the Voluntary Security Certification (VSC) period for Optical Network Terminals (ONT) and Optical Line Terminals (OLT).
Key Highlights:
- ONT & OLT devices will remain under the Voluntary Security Certification (VSC) regime until 31st December 2025
- During this phase, no administrative or security evaluation fees will be charged
- From 1st January 2026, certification will become mandatory under the ComSec scheme, with compliance to ITSAR requirements.
This update replaces the previous notification issued on 7th April 2025.
