The Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) in Vietnam formally issued new Circular 10/2023/TT-BTTTT on September 7, 2023, with the goal of temporarily delaying the partial or full implementation of a few QCVN standards stated in Circular 04/2023/TT-BTTTT.
The following are the key points of Circular 10/2023/TT-BTTTT:
- QCVN standards related to 5G terminal equipment and 5G mobile phones, such as QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT, QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT, and QCVN 18:2022/BTTTT, are totally suspended until 2023.12.31.
- Until December 31, 2023, an extension of time has been provided for testing in extreme situations for QCVN 117:2020/BTTTT(2/3/4G), QCVN 54:2020/BTTTT (BT/Wi-Fi 2.4G), QCVN 65:2021/BTTTT (Wi-Fi 5G), QCVN 122:2022/BTTTT, and others.
- The implementation of standard QCVN 124:2021/BTTTT, which applies to 76~77 GHz vehicle radar, is completely suspended until 2024.06.30.
- Circular 04/2023/TT-BTTTT and Circular 10/2023/TT-BTTTT (with normal condition testing) type approval certificates will be valid until December 31, 2023.
