The Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) has announced the publication of Issue 11 of Radio Standards Specification RSS-210. The new issue was released on June 25, 2024, and includes updated regulations for licence-exempt radio apparatus categorized as Category I equipment.
RSS-210, Issue 11, replaces the previous Issue 10 and aims to ensure that radio apparatus used in Canada meet the necessary standards for performance and safety.
A notable change in Issue 11 is the implementation of new radar operational limits and bands within the 57-71 GHz range.
The revised RSS-210 also includes updates to ensure that licence-exempt radio apparatuses adhere to the latest technological advancements and safety standards. Manufacturers and stakeholders are encouraged to review the new regulations thoroughly to ensure compliance.
