The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has announced a change impacting the 3400-3700 MHz frequency band.
The MCMC has decided to cancel all existing service allocations for this spectrum band, effective immediately. This decision aims to optimize the use of this frequency range to better support emerging technologies and enhance the nation’s telecommunications infrastructure.
The 3400-3700 MHz band, also known as the C-band, is crucial for various communication services, including 5G. By cancelling the current allocations, MCMC intends to reallocate the spectrum to ensure it is used more efficiently and effectively, paving the way for improved connectivity and technological advancements in Malaysia.
