Malaysia Suruhanjaya Tenaga Energy commission has release guidelines for Approval of Electrical Equipment.
These Guidelines shall come into operation from the date of its registration.
This updated document outlines several key aspects:
- Lists of Regulated Electrical Equipment
- Application Procedures and Conditions: Detailed requirements for:
- Certificate of Registration (CoR) for manufacturing or importing,
- CoR for Conformity Assessment Bodies (CAB),
- Certificate of Approval (CoA) for importing, manufacturing, displaying, selling, or advertising electrical equipment,
- Renewal of CoA for ongoing compliance in the same areas.

- Labelling Requirements
These guidelines apply to all manufacturers, importers, exhibitors, sellers, and advertisers of regulated electrical equipment, as well as registered laboratories and certification bodies, to ensure adherence to the Act and Regulations.
