TEC MTCTE UPDATE for PON Manufacturers

There are 3 major updates against certain parameters of ER of ‘PON Family of Broadband Equipment’

As per the notification released on 1st January 2025 by TEC, the status of acceptance of Exemption/ Test Reports /Self-Declaration of Conformity against the following parameters have been updated –

1. Protocol Test for any PON interface as per ER – Report submission for these parameters exempted until 30.06.2025
2. Automatic Laser Shut-Down (ALS) or Automatic Power ShutDown (APSD) parameter – A Self Declaration of Conformity by Applicant/ OEM is Acceptable till 30.06.2025
3. Interoperability Test for GPON interface – Applicant may upload test reports/results for all sub-parameters of GPON interoperability test as per Annexure-J5/Appendix-III of ‘Annexure to ER’ with testing done in any NABL accredited lab or OEM’s in-house lab. This relaxation is valid till 30.06.2025
