The National Centre for Communication Security (NCCS) has issued a Notification on 17th February 2025 regarding the submission of source code by OEMs under the ComSec scheme. As per the latest guidelines, source code submission will become mandatory for devices submitted for testing from 1st January 2026 onwards.
This regulatory change aims to enhance cybersecurity compliance and ensure transparency in product security evaluations. The notification also introduces the issuance of Pro Tem Certificates to facilitate the compliance process during the transition period.
