In a bold and decisive move, BIS has taken this step to ensure that all CCTV camera manufacturers strictly comply with ER:01 standards, reinforcing security protocols and safeguarding consumer interests.
Key Updates:
- Mandatory Compliance Deadline: April 9, 2025 was the final date for implementing ER:01.
- Testing Requirements: Only STQC labs are authorized to conduct security testing for CCTV cameras.
- Exemptions: Analog CCTV Cameras.
- Impact on Existing Licensees: As notified earlier by BIS in their earlier issued Guidelines document on 22 Oct 2024, that the Non-compliant models will be removed from the scope of the BIS license after the deadline.
- New Applications: Applications must be submitted complying with both IS 13252 and ER:01.
To support manufacturers in meeting these requirements, C-PRAV offers expert guidance on ER:01 compliance, BIS certification processes, and technical documentation preparation. Our team can assist with understanding testing requirements, coordinating with authorized laboratories, and ensuring seamless application submission and certification.
