The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) has issued a notification extending the implementation date of IS 18112 — Digital Television Receiver for Satellite Broadcast Transmission Specification — under the Compulsory Registration Order (CRO VI).
As per the latest circular, the date of implementation has been extended by six months, moving from 26 January 2026 to 26 July 2026.
This extension provides manufacturers and stakeholders additional time to align with the revised requirements for television sets covered under IS 18112, ensuring a smoother transition to full compliance.
