Streamlining Bureaucratic Procedures: The framework aims to simplify the certification process by repealing several outdated regulations, including Resolutions No. 197/2004, No. 282/2014, and No. 344/2021. This move is intended to eliminate redundant and complicated procedures that have historically impeded trade and increased transaction costs.
Ensuring Public Safety: All products must comply with the standards specified in Law No. 24,240 and Decree No. 274/2019, ensuring they do not present foreseeable risks to consumer health or safety.
Increased Recognition of Foreign Certifications and Tests: The new framework facilitates broader acceptance of certifications and test reports from foreign organizations that have agreements with Argentina. This change could streamline the certification process for manufacturers who have already secured certifications in other countries.
Management of Non-Compliant Products: “Sin Derecho a Uso” (SDU): The regulation outlines measures for products imported without the right to be sold, referred to as “Sin Derecho a Uso” (SDU).
