The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has released an important advisory extending the validity of existing star rating tables under its Standards & Labeling (S&L) Program.
This update directly impacts manufacturers and permittees of Microwave Ovens and Air Compressors, ensuring continuity in energy efficiency compliance and registration processes while supporting smoother renewals under the voluntary labeling phase.

Microwave Ovens: Extended from 8th March 2019 to 31st December 2026
Air Compressors: Extended from 11th January 2021 to 31st December 2026
Continuation Requirement
Manufacturers/Permittees must submit continuation applications with the previous approval letter and revised sample label by 30th November 2025.
A duly filled proforma (attached with the advisory) is mandatory to confirm willingness to continue registration.

Final submission: 30th November 2025
Non-submitted models will be automatically deactivated on 1st January 2026.
